Christmas Eve '11

Nono made his FAMOUS waffles.  Chris was the first one to the table and was thrilled all day having his daily dose of them.

Christmas Eve 2011. Auntie Valerie is here to play slap jack with the kids!

We went to church (WAY early).  For some reason I thought the service was at 4p but it did not start until 5p!  This was a stroke of luck as we all (minus Mom) spent the hour in the snack bar at Target while Mom got her really last minute shoping done.  Then, as luck would have it we arrived at church just in time to get the very LAST 6 seats all the way in the very back corner of the church!  This was actually good as the kids sat on the floor and played with their candles which would not have been tolorated if there were actually people sitting behind us.

For the third year in a row, we joined the Snyder family for their traditional Christmas Eve dinner at the Melting Pot.  I am not sure if they will continue to let us invade their nice quiet family gathering as every year we invite more and more of our family!!  They appeared to be very good sports about the entire thing!

The highlight was the flaming pots of chocolate!

Randy got a bit spooked but managed to contain himself.

Here we all are!  I wonder how many we will be next year!?

Santa arrived WAY earlier this year than last!!

I tried to get some glowy shots but my camera just does not know what to do with such little light ....  :(

Stockings are hung ... But Emme and Nono forgot theirs.
