Christmas '10

Christmas 2010. Auntie Valerie drove out from LA to spend Christmas with us! This was very cool. She arrived a few hours later on Monday then she would have liked coming from CO. It snowed pretty much the entire way and she was white knuckled upon arriving. We kept her busy shopping and viewing a variety of concerts and graduations (see prior posts). She was particularly helpful Christmas Eve (well, I guess technically it was Christmas morning (midnight till 4a). We wrapped and assembled the air hockey, ping pong, pool table.

In the end, it all paid off.

Chris only received a couple clothing items this year.  This made him very happy.  And this way he actually liked what he got!

Zhu Zhu pets and accessories were the rave this year.  Apparently you can't have too many.

Emme got Acacia the convented dauphin pillow.

See?  He is still smiling and it's a sweater.

Chris had to take many breaks during the opening ceremonies to make sure each new DS game would function properly in his DS.

Acacia got this cool fact book from Uncle Chris and Aunt Yoli and her teacher will love them for this!!



Chris has taken a liking to various nut crackers.  He is collecting them now.  This is the most recent addition and he likes it because it has a large diamond and therefore can do battle ....



Acacia asked for a bed side table ... and this was perfect!

Since Auntie Valerie's last visit (see prior post) Acacia's violin playing has improved tremendously!!  Auntie Valerie went from holding her ears to a most heavenly stance filled with joy.

Bye Auntie Val!  We had a great time!!  We will miss you very much!!



In the end, they crashed in front of the TV.
