Acacia turns 5!!

Click on the below link to see photos from Acacia's 5 year birthday! The festivities started on January 25th (her actual birthday). We went to the Nitty Gritty Birthday Bar (and restaurant) along with Acacia's Birthday Buddy, Kathy. Kathy is one of my best friends!! Acacia was born on her birthday! Saturday was Acacia's party at Madtown Twisters! She requested a sailboat cake (don't know why). And lastly, she had two of her best friends spend the night! Their first sleep over and we all survived!! A do believe a good time was had by all! May I just say .... I am a bit tired.

New Year's Eve '05

Golfing with Brenna!

These are the way cool magicians that we saw! We could not figure out how they made stuff disappear!

This is Acacia and Brenna on the bouncy climber wall thing. They did this about 7 times.

Live music. "It's too loud!"

Christmas '05 - With Emme and Nono

Christmas '05

We went to the tree farm and got our perfect Christmas tree. We went in the middle of a week day so no one was there. They let us go sledding on this great hill of packed snow! Even Nono and Emme went down the hill on the sled!!

One day we all went ice skating! My friend Maya was there with her family! We used chairs to help us learn how to skate, but they ended up being a pretty good way to get the grown ups to push us around on the ice. Emme and Nono skating too!!

I made a snow man (and woman) with my Dad and Nono. Do you like the grass skirt?

Here is our '05 family Christmas photo.

We went to Cascade with Emme and Nono and did some skiing. Emme went skiing, but Nono opted out of this activity.

This is all of us after we opened allllllll the presents!!

This is me and Chris at the train show that was at the botanical gardens. Can you see the train behind us? We got to walk through the tropical rain forest while we were there too.

"Really Big Hike" '05

Click here to see our photos from our "really big hike". We went to a State Forest and hiked for 3.5 miles. The terrain was actually very rough. We ended up carrying Chris and pulling Acacia in the wagon for at least three fouths of the trip. What a work out for Mom and Dad! But, it was worth it. It ended with a tower that was like 7 stories high. Once you were at the top the view was just breath taking. Back at the resort we ate, swam and passed out. The next day we went to a local farmers market and to an Indian burial site. The kids got to fish for the first time and we brought home about 3-4 fish! A good time was had by all! :)

We got to visit with tons of Westminster friends and Munhall neighbors before we headed to Northern Va to see my pregnant sister Julianne, her family and my college roommate, Christy and her kids. Then we departed for Richmond, VA where we stayed at the Faglioni resort. We relaxed by the pool and spent a perfect day in Kings Dominion. Next, we headed to NC to stay with my parents for a week. My entire family (including grandparents were there (as you will see by checking out the photos. Enjoy!

In the beginning ...

Hmmm, where to begin!? This will be a work in progress. I will probably be changing this for a while until I figure stuff out and deside the best way to do this. I had no idea that "others" could post to my site ... but that is cool. By having it like this we can each set up our own blogs and link them to each others. Well, I hope everyone likes this and it is easy to navigate. Let me know what you think!
